Other Projects
Apart from my time spent carrying out full time research, I also participate in various different projects

Night-Light Malta
A passion project of mine and continuation of my Master’s degree. Night-Light is a project aimed towards developing an active light pollution reporting system that may push for changes in local policies and the safeguarding of our health and night skies.
The system developed allows users to submit reports with both a description and image of the offending lighting. This data is being collected with the hopes of eventually being used to generate statistical models relating to the state of night sky brightness locally.

STRATOS II
As part of my PhD research, I have been awarded a PhD scholarship in Remote Sensing from the Atmosphere. This has led to full cooperation between the Institute of Space Science and Astronomy (ISSA) and the Astronomical Society of Malta (ASM) to document the development and launch of the second iteration of the STRATOS mission, aptly named STRATOS II.
I will be leading the development and launch of STRATOS II. The main aim of this project is to study the Maltese Islands from an altitude of 30 kilometres using a range of different instruments.

santfournier.org
Having been employed as part of the family business to modernise the previously existing website, I have been continually working to maintain the website santfournier.org. The website is mainly made up of a collection of information related to local nobility and heritage.
This website serves an important purpose within the local Association of Foreign Title Holders (AFTH). The website provides the service of archiving information relating to various familes and generates a moderate amount of worldwide traffic. This implies that part of my work on this website consisted of design in accordance with best practices and an emphasis on search engine optimisation (SEO).
